Chocolate banana bread recipe Ingredients, Preparation

The chocolate banana bread recipe has everything in it that makes us love sweet cookies. The banana is a great fruit, among other things, because it doesn’t have to be thrown away even if it’s a little overripe: this is when it can be the basis for cakes. The lightly browned banana is already good soft, so it is easy to work with, and its sweet aroma flares up any cookies. You don’t need a lot of sugar in the dough because the caramelized fried fruit just sweetens it quite a bit.

Ingredients for 6 people:

  • dkg of sugar
  • dkg walnut kernels
  • ripe bananas
  • dkg butter
  • 0.5 lemon juice
  • Preparation time: 35 MINUTES

  • 15 dkg flour
  • dkg of cocoa powder
  • eggs
  • dl milk
  • pinch of salt
  • packet of vanilla sugar
  • packet of baking powder
  • 0.5 dl cooking oil
  • Preparation time: 30 MINUTES

Peel a banana, grate it and sprinkle with lemon juice. In a baking sheet, caramelize the sugar on a low flame, meaning wait until it melts to a quarter of an hour and turns brown. No need to stir in the meantime. Chop the nuts in the meantime. Add the butter to the caramel, melt it until frothy, then wrap the banana rings in it and stir until the pieces are covered with a layer of caramel. Then pour in the nuts, stir, remove from the heat and let cool. Until the banana cools, put together the dough. Mix the eggs with the salt and vanilla sugar, pour in the milk and oil, sift in the flour mixed with the baking powder and cocoa, and finally add a spoonful of the walnut, caramelized banana and mix well with a wooden spoon. Line an elongated form with parchment paper, divide the dough in it and place it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for half an hour until the dough sticks to the fork.

The fried banana rolled into a crispy fur is a full-fledged, very delicious sweet in itself.
